In Burdur, an important collaboration was signed to prevent the waste of food waste and to contribute to the feeding of stray animals. A "Food Waste Collection and Food Production Protocol" was signed between Burdur Municipality, Burdur Provincial Special Administration, Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, Restaurant and Pastry Shopkeepers Chamber of Tradesmen Presidency, and Burdur Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Within the scope of the protocol, it is aimed to evaluate the food leftovers collected throughout the province by Burdur Municipality in food production. Thus, both food waste will be recycled and an environmentally friendly and sustainable food production model will be implemented.
